A bladed swim jig — hex blade up front that chatters through the water so you can cover ground fast. Built with a living silicone skirt, finished in Crawfish.
How to fish it
- Cast and reel — let the blade load and chatter. Burn it to find fish, or slow-roll when they want it slower.
- Fish it shallow like a near-topwater search bait when bass are high; dig a little over grass, wood, and edges.
- If you get big boils but no hookup, throw a couple more in the same spot. Still nothing — switch to a slower topwater (walker or frog) that stays in the zone longer.
When it shines
Best when you need to cover water — points, flats, grass lines, and pond edges. Match color to water: clear leans light, muddy leans dark.
Tackle notes
- Direct tie — no snap swivel (kills action). Fluorocarbon is a solid default; braid through heavy grass.
- Presentation: skirted · finish Crawfish.
Jeff pours these heads on the bench and builds them ready to fish — not just to sit in a box.
