JR Deep diver — Midnight Black

Long-bill crank that digs for hard-bottom lakes and deeper structure. Search bait when fish are down. This one is finished in Midnight Black on a Deep diver body.

How to fish it

• Cast past the structure and reel so the bill loads and digs.
• Medium-slow in cold water; keep contact with the bottom when you can.
• Best on hard bottom — leave deep divers off silty farm ponds where they plow mud.

When it shines

Winter and deep lake days when bass hold on hard bottom. Experienced lake pick more than a muddy pond beginner bait. Dark finishes lean muddy or low-light days.

• Direct tie — no snap swivel (kills action). Fluorocarbon is a solid default; braid in heavy cover.
